The HBIS provides rehabilitation services to people who have an acquired brain injury in the working age population. The service consists of a Transitional Living Unit and a community rehabilitation program. The unit offers assessment, and individually designed rehabilitation programs to assist people to reach their optimal level of functioning and independence in the home, community, employment and personal relationships. It also plays an important role in assisting clients and their families to adjust to changes following an acquired brain injury.
